Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival: Baltic Focus
Joonas Tartu, the head of Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences and Leino Rei, the head of the International Visual Theatre Festival Tallinn Treff, are getting acquainted with the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
It is the largest festival in North America dedicated to this art form, which lasts for 11 days and is visited by nearly 14,000 people.
A meeting with festival artistic director Blair Thomas laid the groundwork for a collaboration, according to which the programme of the 2027 Festival will have a Baltic Focus!
